A couple meets through strange circumstances, both looking for love. They both feel like their relationship is destined by the world. They get married and have two girls, but the mother’s selfishness starts to degrade the family. Amy stops being a mother and starts partying with the neighbors, abandoning her family. High on drugs and alcohol she comes home days later, but her husband has had enough. She fought with him as he tried to reason with her, but she grabbed a knife and tried to kill him. The police arrest her as she fights with officers, the family starts a new chapter and he’s on his own with the girls.
As Amy grows older she has three children with another man, her ex-husband tries to keep the extended family together, visiting their step-sisters whenever they can. As the years go by, Amy becomes more abusive and dangerous. The youngest girl from their marriage, while in college takes care of her three step-sisters, taking them to Duluth. Eventually the girls have to go home, erasing all the love and progress their big sister had accomplished. History repeats itself as Amy is arrested for abuse, her young children abandoned, worrying about their future.
